Overview
Partner Repositories provides a delivery channel for software with release cadences, streams, dependencies, architectures, and licensing models that differ from the core RHEL package lifecycle.
Typical first use cases include NVIDIA GPU drivers and CUDA, NVIDIA DOCA networking content, AMD ROCm, related kernel modules, and other layered-product software.
Capabilities
- Repositories organized by partner, product, release stream, RHEL release, and architecture
- Isolation between stacks that would otherwise conflict
- Support for open-source and proprietary payloads
- Delivery of Red Hat-built packages, uploaded RPMs, and content built through Copr
- Explicit support boundaries based on content ownership
Red Hat operates the delivery platform. Partner-owned software remains the partner’s responsibility. Red Hat-owned content follows the applicable product support model.
Compared with legacy Extensions and Supplementary channels, Partner Repositories emphasize per-partner isolation, mixed open-source and proprietary content where applicable, and partner-controlled release cadence.
